BOAT MASTER
GRADE - 1&2
BM1 - Entry minimum age 19 years and have at least 24 months of appropriate sea service, and be in possession of a General Purpose Hand Certificate. Has to present TM Notice of Eligibility to be able to sit for the Oral and Practical Assessment.
Certificate is issued by Transport Malta Authority
This is a qualification to serve as a Master on a commercial vessel of less than 24m in length.
BM2 - Entry minimum age 18 years and have at least 12 months of appropriate sea service, This is a dual qualification to act as Master and or Engineer of vessels less than 12m in length and with engines up to 250kw.
ENGINE DRIVER GRADE - 2&3
ENG2 - Entry minimum age 18 years and have at least 6 months appropriate sea service on vessels of not less than 750KW and be in possession of a General Purpose Hand Certificate.
Has to present TM Notice of Eligibility to be able to sit for the Oral and Practical Assessment.
ENG3 - Entry minimum age 18 years and have at least 6 months appropriate sea service on vessels of not less than 500KW and be in possession of a General Purpose Hand Certificate.
Certificate is issued by Transport Malta Authority.
BOAT MAN
Entry minimum age 18 years and have at least 12 months appropriate sea service, and be in possession of a General Purpose Hand Certificate. Has to present a TM Notice of Eligibility to be able to sit for the Oral and Practical Assessment. Certificate is issued by Transport Malta Authority. This is a dual qualification to act as a Master and/or Engineer of vessels less than 10m, capable of carrying 12 passengers or less.
TRAIN THE TRAINER
This typical Train the Trainer course is ideal for people who are new to training or people who have found themselves carrying out training with no or little previous development in train the trainer.
FIRE FIGHTING
The course is suitable for delegates with responsibilities for port area and ship fire fighting.
VHF SRC
Entry minimum 16 years of age. Has a common understanding of the English language and preferably possess elementary computer skills. End of course Practical and Written Assessment.
